Site Merchandiser

Full-Time in Seattle, WA

Garmentory is hiring for a Site Merchandiser who can help develop lasting strategies and merchandising processes to drive sales. This role will be responsible for improving site conversion rate, units-per-order sold and average order values by driving merchandising decisions through both quantitative and qualitative analytical research of category and product performance. They will track customer shopping trends and product inventory levels, and make strategic recommendations to improve sales performance. This person should have a strong understanding of the fashion industry and ecommerce concepts.

Our ideal candidate is skilled at delivering an exceptional online shopping experience for our customers through various merchandising strategies, and has a proven track record as demonstrated through sales growth or conversion improvements. They will work closely with our marketing team to develop growth strategies in several key areas.

This role will provide you with an opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of an e-commerce business. You will work closely with multiple departments across the company and have ownership and decision-making power of a key business area. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain quality, and consistency of product listings from several different resources
  • Support marketing team with email product selection, sales, promotional marketing categories, etc
  • Track, analyze, and communicate product, category, and brand performance
  • Review inventory levels and communicate gaps in product categories & brands to strategize onboarding with Account Managers
  • Strategize and implement annual sale calendar
  • Coordinate with boutique owners and designers for promotions and special projects
  • Identify growth opportunities and recommend changes to drive improvements in sales
  • Work cross functionally with Marketing, Design and Account Management to drive customer retention and maximize product visibility
  • Understand the competitive environment and proactively seek market knowledge


  • Has a strong understanding of independent and emerging fashion brands
  • Has fluency in Excel and analytical tools, such as Google Analytics
  • Has excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Understands the Garmentory brand

  • 2-3 years merchandising experience, preferably in ecommerce or fashion industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business or related field or equivalent work experience required
